Year 6 have been learning about nets of 3D shapes. We used polydron to build and test nets for various shapes. Mrs Raine then challenged us to see how many different ways we could find to make nets of cubes, square-based pyramids and tetrahedrons. We found 11 different possibilities to make a cube as well as many other variations of the 11 nets. We had to work systematically to ensure we didn’t make two of the same nets. How many can you find? We were also challenged to make octahedron and dodecahedron nets.
