In Year 4 we have been learning about Hinduism and the festival of Diwali. Diwali is an important holiday celebrated around the world, especially in India. It is a Hindu ‘festival of lights’ which celebrates the New Year. Today we made some Mehndi henna patterns on hand cutouts. We looked carefully at some examples and tried to design our own patterns. We were very pleased with the results.
