In Year 1 we have been learning the key features of the Hanukkah festival and the story. The children have loved finding out about why Jewish people celebrate Hanukkah and also the lighting of the menorah. We lit our own menorah in class with the candles and have been doing lots of activities and playing a dreidel game that Jewish children play around this time of year. it has been great fun.
