Year 4 had great fun working with Adam Bushnell a local author. We went back in time to the Viking Era and he told us how they loved to boast and fight. After looking at a range of Viking artefacts we had to imagine that we were vicious Vikings – the most vicious in Birtley. We had to boast and exaggerate about recent defeats and challenges we had done but also try to add interesting word choices. He reminded us about using expression and when writing we could use an exclamation mark to show this.
We had so much fun trying to become our character that we had created which helped us with our writing.
