Today Year 3 and 4 had a fun filled day of outdoor adventure at Gibside National Trust. We completed a den building challenge, where we had to work in teams to construct a secure structure using tree branches. Each den was certainly impressive and it was great to see everyone working together to make decisions.
We also took part in an orienteering exercise where our map skills were certainly tested. We had to use the map to locate orienteering points and write down the codes. This was extremely challenging and required a lot of resilience when points were hard to find.
Overall this was a fantastic day, set in such beautiful surroundings.
