This afternoon Year 6 have been combining their design, problem solving, communication and coding skills to build and control robodog Milo! Caitlin and Ryan, from Northumbria University, introduced us to Milo and the specifications for the task. The children had to follow a design brief to ensure their robodog could move and connect to their iPad. Once built, they used the coding program to make their robodog move, change colour and make sounds!
Next, the children had to design and build a seat to transport Ellison the elephant around their tables. This really challenged the whole class and they had to work as a team to come up with a solution.
