In Science this half term Year 2 are looking closely at plants. This week we have planted sunflower seeds and have set up two experiments to find out what seeds need in order to grow.
We have planted 4 lots of cress. The first box has been watered and has light, the second box has light but no water. The third box and been watered but has no light and the fourth box has no light and no water. Which do you think will grow?
We’ve also planted some broad beans but we want to see if they will grow without soil. We have planted them on a damp paper towel, placed them in a plastic bag bag and hung them on the classroom door. What do you think will happen? Come and have a look and see how they are getting on.
