This term, Year 6 have been learning how to recognise and use the eight points of a compass. In order to test our skills, Mrs Raine stole Mrs Beattie’s biscuits and we hid them! We then used our compasses and a trundle to create a set of directions using compass points for Mrs Beattie. When we got back of the classroom, we created a maps of our school which Mrs Beattie could use to help her find the biscuits. We decided the scale 1cm:1m would be most appropriate to use to plot the route on the map. Luckily, we had used our compasses accurately and we were able to lead Mrs Beattie to her biscuits using our fabulous maps and directions (which she shared)!
