Making Musical Instruments

Year 4 have been very busy this half term designing and making musical instruments. We began by investigating how sounds are made and testing out different percussion instruments. Then, using junk materials, we designed our own instruments thinking about the type of sound we wanted and how we would make it. Next, we set about making our instrument by assembling the parts together using paper mache . Once they were dry we added the decoration so the instruments were bright and colourful and looked good quality. Finally, everyone had great fun playing their instruments  –  super creativity Year 4!
