On Tuesday this week the whole school were visited by John and Louise from Vision Skills North East.

John is registered blind and Louise is his support worker, they came into school to help us understand that disabilities are nothing to be afraid of.

John brought lots of things to show us and explained how he uses these things to be able to do everyday things.

These included: a guide stick, a talking clock, a book with braille, a liquid level guide, talking magnetic tin lids, a special machine that can tell you the colour of clothes and some talking scales.

We all had a great afternoon and learned so much.
