Year 4 have been looking closely at Egyptian art work to help them learn more about daily life during ancient Egypt. We found out about the types of jobs the Egyptian people would have done. Lots of the art work included fishermen in the River Nile, farmers or builders. We tried really hard to draw an Egyptian figure either sitting, standing or bending and used our sketch books to develop our ideas and drawing techniques. We tried really hard to draw a side profile like Egyptian artists and to use colour similar to the work we studied.

The children (and Mrs Chapman) are very proud of the end results so please pop in to take a look at the final pieces!
