Eddie Gibson, from the Youth Offending team, worked with us for 4 sessions to help us understand the consequences of behaviour; what it is like to be arrested or go to jail; what drugs and alcohol do to our body; how we can resist peer pressure; how to access help if you make bad choices and how to make good choices to ensure a happy future. He is such a funny man and makes us laugh even though he is teaching us about some really important issues. We looked forward every week to him coming into our school and even made some leaflets to explain what he does. We were really sad to say goodbye to Eddie and even more sad when we found out that the Youth Offending Team no longer have the funding to deliver these sessions in the future.
In this photo we were playing Tug of War to consider how much influence peer pressure can have and then to think about who can help to get people back on the right track. Eddie told us about situations and examples which matched what was happening in the tug of war.
