Year 3 had a fantastic time this morning investigating fractions using smarties. We worked in pairs to find out what fraction of each colour smartie there was in our box. We ordered and compared the smartie fractions and also investigated which colour smarties could be added together to make half. Although we learned lots about fractions our favourite part of the activity was eating the smarties!
