As part of science week, year 2 became botanists for the morning. Joe and Dan from Think Physics came into class and talked to us about what a botanist is and how they do their job.
First we used our eyes to look at a Venus flytrap and talked about what we could see, next we used a magnifying glass which made the plant look bigger so we could see things we hadn’t been able to see with just our eyes.
Finally we used a USB microscope attached to a tablet to take a really close up look at both the plant and the soil. We were amazed by what we saw.
