Today Year 1 have visited Newcastle’s Castle Keep! We have had so much fun learning all about ways to break into the castle, how to be a brave knight and how to defeat the scary buggane! We enjoyed learning the story of the Lambton worm and acting it out with our friends! We got to climb the steep, stone stairs all the way to the top of the castle! and we counted them as we climbed, there was over 99 stairs! We listened to stories about how prisoners were thrown into the dungeons and made to stand in the stocks!
