As part of Science Week and linked to our topic Animals, Rob from Zoo Lab visited our class with lots of little friends! We learnt about different animals and what they liked to eat and what type of habitat they would live in.

We enjoyed holding all the animals including a snake, salamander, cockroach and a tortoise. We were very brave and gentle holding all the animals and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

We also have been learning all about David Attenborough and his work. Using You Tube we watched fascinating clips of his documentaries about polar animals.

In the water area we have been investigating what objects float and sink. We made predictions then tested them to see if we were right.DSCN7914 DSCN7916 DSCN7917 DSCN7919 DSCN7920

We have been using our senses to match smells to objects. Some smells were really strong and some smells were very sweet. We definitely enjoyed smelling the sweet caramel and hated smelling the mint!
