Rachel Redshaw is the author of a fantastic rhyming book called ‘The Gami Twins’. Amazingly, she is also Anthony’s aunty and very kindly agreed to come into school and read her fabulous story. We were all so excited to meet a real author and had lots of interesting questions to ask her. Rachel shared with us what inspires her to write and her love of rhyme. It was really interesting learning how a book is made and the process is takes to complete.
After listening to the story we explored different rhyming sounds used in the book and we experimented with possible rhyming couplets. Rachel then gave us a challenge to brainstorm ideas for the next Gami Twins adventure and we tried to write a verse. It was great fun and will soon be rhyming experts.
So in true rhyming style…
