Today Reception visited Thornley Woods. We had a fantastic day learning about the plants and wildlife that live in the wood.
Liz and Phil showed us around the woods. We found out what plants need to grow, what animals live in the woods, we even found out about different plants and trees growing there.
We went pond dipping and were amazed at the amount of animals that live under and on the water. We pretended to be seeds and after listening to a story about what seeds need to grow, we grew into beautiful flowers. We made a crown from the different things we found in the woods and we had lots of fun pretending to be birds and making a nest.
Thanks to everyone who made today so fantastic and to the parents who came along to help.
