On Thursday 4th April, our whole School Council were the guests of Gateshead Council as they had lunch at the Civic Centre, visited the Mayor (Councillor John Eagle) in his parlour for a question & answer session, visited the Council Chamber and met a number of other Councillors for a question & answer session and then observed the beginning of a full Council meeting. All the School Council members enjoyed their visit and even the mayor commented at the beginning of the full Council meeting that he thought being grilled by Jeremy Paxman would have been easier than being questioned by our children!
