Mel from Northumbria University came into school today and talked to Year 4 about Geology. She talked about the skills of a Geologist including being observant, curious and hard working. We tried to remember this as we carried out our task. Year 4 needed to identify some meteorites. They then had to sketch them and discover whether they were magnetic or not. Some of the meteorites we held were 4.57 billion years old. The children were very good and asked lots of questions. Many of the children decided they would like to be Geologists in the future!
