Our Summer DT topic was to design and make a clay animal. We learned some of the skills for working with clay, such as cross hatching to help to join parts together and we had several trial runs before we made our final piece. Once dried, we then decorated it with paint and finally coated it with PVA glue to give a shine and protect the paint. Unfortunately, not all of the animals managed to keep all of their limbs after the drying process. It seems that some joining techniques were more successful than others!
