Nick the Chef came into school and helped us to make a healthy shepherd’s pie. We learned about the healthy plate and how we should try to include food from each food group in a balanced meal. We then practised some cooking skills to prepare the meal. We used our hands to pull onions apart, grated carrot, used scissors to cut up bacon, chopped tomatoes and courgette. We smelt the herb rosemary before sprinkling it into the pie to add flavour. When we tasted it we were surprised at how delicious it was!
